Awesome. Seriously, though, I do think people underestimate the craftmanship of music composed for video games, even the ones and especially the later ones. Squaresoft and Blizzard Entertainment, the makers of the Final Fantasy and Warcraft series, respectively, are especially notable for commissioning quality scores for their games.
We just have a hard time wrapping our heads around the idea of people making serious art for a game.
